World Cup 2026 Public Viewing in Prater
The FIFA Men's World Cup will take place from June 11th to July 19th, 2026, in Canada, Mexico, and the USA. Want to watch and celebrate the World Cup matches with other fans? There aren't any official public viewing areas in Vienna this year (so far), but many venues are showing all, though usually not all, of the matches. This is also the case in Vienna's Prater.
Austrian National Team Matches
Under Ralf Rangnick, the Austrian national football team has qualified for the World Cup for the first time in 28 years. Argentina, Algeria, and Jordan await them in the group stage.

In and around the Wurstelprater, you'll find the following public viewing options:
Luftburg – Kolarik im Prater
At Luftburg, all evening World Cup matches will be shown in the restaurant and beer garden. Freshly tapped drinks, crispy and juicy pork knuckle, and lovingly prepared delicacies from Luftburg's organic kitchen will keep you energized for cheering and nailing the game.

At Prateralm, all matches taking place during opening hours (9:00 - 00:00) will be shown. They will also be open during the night for Austria's matches! While you eagerly follow the games, you can treat yourself to Austrian delicacies.

Superbude Vienna
Superbude is showing selected World Cup matches on a large screen. The screenings will take place regardless of the weather – either in the beer garden (in good weather) or in the lobby. It's first come, first served – no reservations. As a World Cup special, there's a 5+1 free offer on beer and spritzers.

You can also watch the Argentina vs. Austria match live at franz joseph, the bar at the Ferris wheel square, on June 22nd – franz joseph is opening especially for this on Monday! They'll be open from 17:00. In addition, all matches will be shown on the bar's screens during regular opening hours (Thu to Sun from 17:00 to midnight).

Gösser Eck joins the live broadcast with the blockbuster match against Argentina and also shows the match against Spain. Beisl im Prater also shows the match against Spain.

The Popp
The Popp bar will join the live broadcasts with the match against Spain on Thursday, July 2nd. A great atmosphere is sure to be guaranteed in their cozy and creative outdoor seating area. Just across the street, you can find Smash Burgers at Ugis Poppup. If Austria advances, all subsequent matches will also be broadcast – regardless of the time.
