Halloween 2025 at Wurstelprater

Halloween is always celebrated accordingly at Wurstelprater. So this year, on Friday October 31st, 2025 the amusement park will once again be tranformed into Gruselprater! Various restaurants and attractions will of course also be celebrating – first and foremost all the ghost trains. Below you can find an overview of all the locations and activities. We'll keep updating this page!

Halloween parade  

The popular Wurstelprater Halloween Parade is the highlight of the evening starting at 18:30! Unlike in previous years, the parade will not wind its way through the Wurstelprater – this time, eerie artists and performers will entertain curious visitors at various stations. And don’t worry about missing anything – the performers will rotate between the stations! At the end of the parade, there might even be a little surprise waiting for you.

Halloween Witch Train 🚂🧙‍♀️🐺

This year, the Liliputbahn will be transformed into the Witch Train on October 31st and tells the Halloween story of Bibi & Gwendolyn:

The two young witches embark on an exciting adventure into the spooky Witch Forest of the Vienna Prater. That's where all the witches meet to remember the legendary Walpurga – the greatest and most resourceful witch of all time. But the two soon find themselves in danger, as the werewolves are also on their trail...

Embark on the journey with Bibi and Gwendolyn to find out how the story continues!

Cosmic Horrors at Planetarium

On October 31,  the Vienna Planetarium offers an in-house produced spooky Halloween special that will transport you to an eerie universe:

The universe seems to be a terrifying place! Dark energy, deadly radiation, horror worlds, and destructive forces lurk in the darkness of the cosmos. Together with the intrepid Planetarium team, you'll embark on a journey to the most terrifying yet breathtaking places in our galaxy and beyond. After visiting these nightmarish worlds, you may never want to leave Earth again...

Shows start every half hour, beginning at 18:30. The last show starts at 22:00.

Austria's Biggest Halloween Party at Prater DOME

The Prater DOME invites everyone above 18 years to the scariest and biggest Halloween party in Austria and offers a variety of highlights. There will also be a Halloween photo contest: If you get your picture taken in front of the photo wall by midnight, you have a chance to win an exclusive VIP annual pass to the Prater DOME. All photos will be uploaded to the Prater DOME website and app, and the photo with the most likes in the app wins the contest.

Halloween Rave at Pratersauna

Pratersauna invites all adults (18+) to the Haunted Sauna – Halloween Rave on October 31st! It includes a Spooky Garden and Secret Floor. If you arrive in costume before midnight, you'll receive a discounted admission of €10.
