I Am The Forest – Interactive Audio Walk for Kids
From May 17th to 21st, 2026, the VRUM Performing Arts Collective invites children aged 6-10 to an interactive audio walk through the Prater park. Kids will experience an adventure with dance, music, and poetry: from jumping across treetops to discovering hidden secrets, full of play, movement, and wonder. Tickets are still available for Tuesday, May 19th, and Thursday, May 21st!
The forest stands black and silent? Think again!
A burrowing here, a crackling there, a humming sound from the undergrowth somewhere, and above it all floats the gentle song of the leaves, conducted by the swaying branches of the trees reaching towards the endless sky. The forest is alive and tells stories, and every step leads deeper into a world where velvety moss and mighty trees share tales of talking streams and gingerbread houses, of longings, of growth, decay, and change.
The forest is alive and tells stories of children aged 6-10 years to an interactive audio walk through the Prater park. The forest is a refuge, a place full of secrets, but also a damaged ecosystem. Its former pristine state is gone; today it suffers from air pollution, drought, and overexploitation. And so, the forest primarily tells its own story: of the time when it was still primeval and allowed to grow freely, of its deep longing to be protected and loved. And in that sense, the forest isn't so different from us humans after all—or are we humans from the forest? The pristine state of the forest is not so different from us humans after all.
