Special Olympics Inclusion Run 2026
During the 9th National Special Olympics Summer Games, the Prater Hauptallee will be transformed into a stage for a special sporting experience on Sat, June 27, 2026: The Special Olympics Inclusion Run powered by MeinBezirk, invites people with and without disabilities to join together and send a powerful message of unity, diversity, and inclusion. Be there!
3.4 kilometers for diversity, unity, and inclusion
The run will take place on the same course used for the official cycling and road running events at the National Special Olympics Summer Games – right in the heart of Vienna's Prater. The 3.4 km course consists of two 1.7 km laps. If you can complete the course within 60 minutes, nothing stands in the way of your participation!
The focus of the event is on mutual support and the joy of movement – but of course, there will still be official timing, and attractive prizes will be raffled off among all participants. Participation in the Inclusion Run powered by MeinBezirk is free – voluntary donations at bib number pick-up will benefit Special Olympics Austria. Since the field is limited to 200 runners, register quickly!
Immediately after the run, you can cheer on the Special Olympics athletes in their road race and experience the unique atmosphere of the Summer Games up close.
National Special Olympics Summer Games 2026
From June 25th to 30th, 2026, nearly 1,800 athletes with intellectual disabilities and their Unified partners (without disabilities) will be guests in Vienna and compete under the motto Together Without Limits. They will be accompanied by around 600 coaches. Many helping hands will also ensure the smooth running of the event, with approximately 800 volunteers lending a hand at the Summer Games.
