Samariterbund Day 2024

Ever wanted to see the inside of an ambulance? Or bring your first aid skills up to date? Or know everything about the (rescue) dog unit? Then come to Kaiserwiese on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, when the Wiener Samariterbund (Vienna Samaritan Association) invites you to the Day of the Samariterbund! You can look forward to an extensive program, insights behind the scenes of the Samariterbund and of course a bit of culinary delights. All visitors can expect demonstrations of the rescue and therapy support dogs, a blue light simulator, presentation of life-saving first aid measures and a tour of the rescue cars, rescue motorcycles, emergency bikes and quads. In addition to information on the topics of care, senior shared apartments, assistance for the homeless, support for refugees and free learning assistance, a puzzle rally and competitions will bring fun and excitement.

There are also lots of things for the kids to discover and lots of opportunities to let off steam. Among other things there are: rescue car air castle, trampoline, XXL giant puzzler, face painting, crafts, wheel of fortune and funny entertainment on stage.

Of course, you will also be treated to (Austrian) delicacies at the Day of the Samariterbund. The legendary field kitchen of the Samaritan Association and the Samaritan Suppentopf team are once again conjuring up grilled cevapcici on the plates in addition to vegetarian delicacies. In cooperation with Meals on Wheels (Essen auf Rädern) producer Gourmet, they will treat guests also to delicious desserts, namely organic curd dumplings with fruity sauces.
