New Years Eve at Prater

Do you already know how you will spend your New Year's Eve in Vienna? If you celebrate December 31, 2024 in Wurstelprater, you can expect not only live music, punch, sparkling wine, Austrian specialties and more, but also plenty of rides and attractions that will take you into the new year with all the energy and adrenaline you need for a good start!

New Year's Eve party at the Riesenradplatz

At the "Wintermarkt am Riesenradplatz" you have the opportunity to celebrate until 2:00 a.m. Accompanied by live music, you can dance into the new year and toast it appropriately with a glass of sparkling wine.

Wintermarkt opening hours

Tue, Dec 31, 2024 from 12:00 to 2:00 Wed, Jan 1, 2025 from 11:00 to 22:00 The operating times of the open attractions are coordinated with the New Year's Eve party at Riesenradplatz. Safety notice: To ensure that no firecrackers, fireworks, bottles, etc. are brought in , there will be checks at the entrances to the Riesenradplatz from 6:00 p.m. on Dec 31 for the safety of all visitors. Please be patient and cooperate - thank you very much!

New Year's Concert

As per tradition, the Vienna Philharmonic's New Year's Concert will be broadcast live on the video wall at Riesenradplatz on January 1, 2025 from 11:00 o'clock. The "Winter Market at Riesenradplatz" will also be open from 11:00 a.m.
