Buch Wien 2026

Buch Wien 26 will take place at the Prater exhibition grounds from November 25th to 29th, 2026. Buch Wien is the third-largest book fair in the German-speaking world. In addition to stage talks, debates, and fireside chats, you can look forward to simply browsing and reading! You can see impressions from last year in the 📸 gallery.

Buch Wien – Fair and Festival

Hundreds of stage talks and panel discussions addressing the major issues of our time make Buch Wien a central hub for acquiring knowledge and exchanging ideas. Renowned authors from the German-speaking world and beyond share their perspectives directly, alongside distinguished experts from the fields of business, science, research, and politics. The Buch Wien program offers five days of learning and literary experiences—unfiltered, articulate, and cosmopolitan.

The program for Buch Wien 26 focuses on new releases in German-language literature. Dedicated areas are featured for genres such as children’s and young adult books, Young & New Adult, non-fiction and specialist literature, self-help and cookbooks, as well as antiquarian books.
