night.sky.music – A Night in Autumn

As part of the night.sky.music event series, the Vienna Planetarium offers impressive experiences where live music meets the stars. The next event, titled Eine Nacht im Herbst (A Night in Autumn), takes place on Tue, October 6th, and Wed, October 14th, 2026.

Astronomy Meets Live Music

Summer is over, and the nights are growing longer. Yet, shortly after sunset, the autumn starry sky still retains distinct traces of summer before the constellations of autumn take center stage as the night progresses. Finally, in the early morning hours—as the night draws to a close—the constellations of the cold season shine brightly high in the firmament. But A Night in Autumn offers even more: planets join the stars, the Milky Way stretches its band across the sky, and the Moon plays its own part.

Guiding you on this journey through the starry sky are Planetarium Director Michael Feuchtinger and Melissa maHoney, whose soulful voice creates an enchanting atmosphere beneath the planetarium’s canopy of stars.
