Childrens flea market: 3210 EUR for Sterntalerhof

The children's flea market at the Wurstelprater was a great success on Sunday, September 20, 2026! Many young sales talents put their skills to the test, ensuring that stuffed animals, board games, sports equipment, and books found new owners. Shoppers browsed and haggled at a total of 214 stalls—all in support of a good cause, true to the motto "Children helping Children"

As has been the tradition for many years, Prater Wien GmbH donated the proceeds from the stall fees to Sterntalerhof, an organization that cares for families with seriously ill children. The total amount raised was matched by the Karl Kolarik family from the Schweizerhaus, allowing a donation check for 3,210 euros to be presented to Sterntalerhof Managing Director Harald Jankovits.

The next children's flea market in aid of the organization will take place in the spring of 2027.

Sterntalerhof is a children's hospice and a sanctuary for families with seriously, chronically, and terminally ill children. What began in 1998 as an idealistic private initiative has grown into an Austria-wide network providing inpatient care, mobile support, and outpatient services.
