Austrian Summer Giant 2026

On Sat, July 11th 2026 the Riesenradplatz will once again be transformed into an arena of superlatives. The Austrian Summer Giant is Austria's most important strongman competition and invites the country's ten strongest men to a test of strength. This year, they will be joined by three athletes from Germany and Switzerland. These Athletes will compete in six spectacular disciplines for the coveted title: Arm over Arm, Overhead Medley, Giantlift, Sandbag to Shoulder, Sandbag Toss, and Atlas Stones.

Strong for a Good Cause

The Austrian Summer Giant is much more than just a sporting highlight, as the 2025 event's motto will once again be "The Strongest for the Weakest." All proceeds from the day will benefit children in need. In 2024, the impressive donation total of €17,000 was raised – and this year's goal is to further build on that.
