Season Kick Off on March 15th 2026

While many attractions and rides were already open in the past few weeks, others have used the time to really spruce themselves up for the summer season. And now the moment has arrived! On Sunday, March 15, 2026, the Wurstelprater kicks off the Main Season (March 15th – October 31st, 2026), officially and traditionally. Since the weather is so splendid, many rides will already be open starting Friday; this includes, for example, the Liliputbahn.

What are the opening hours?

During the main or summer season, rides, attractions and restaurants in the Wurstelprater are open daily, but not on a uniform schedule. You can use the following as a guideline:

Core opening hours ☀️
Daily from approximately 12:00 to 1:00

☔️ 🌬 Please note that outdoor attractions will close in case of bad weather

If you are a fan of more words:
While attractions such as the Wiener Riesenrad, Madame Tussauds, or the Königreich der Eisenbahnen open very early in the day and according to fixed schedules, other rides only open around midday. Children’s rides do not stay open as late as those for adults. On weekdays, some rides open later than on weekends or public holidays. If it storms or rains, outdoor rides will have to close. You get the idea.

What does Wurstelprater offer?

As any amusement park should, the Wurstelprater offers both large and smaller rides and attractions 🎡🎢 for all age groups. From children’s carousels, shooting galleries, and ghost trains to roller coasters, everything is represented. You can find all Prater attractions collected and filterable in our ➤ Attraction Overview

Of course, you won’t go hungry or thirsty. You’ll find cafés and imbiss stands 🌭 for a quick bite, as well as restaurants 🥘 where you can enjoy Austrian delicacies in cozy beer gardens. If you want to end the night in style, we recommend the bars 🍹. Whatever you’re looking for, you’ll surely find it in our ➤ Restaurant Overview.
