EXO:Aliens – Dance Meets Science at the Planetarium
Are we alone in the universe? How common would intelligent life have to be, and why haven't we made contact with extraterrestrial life? Is Earth perhaps unique in the universe after all? At the Wiener Planetarium, you'll find answers to these and many more questions. During the EXO:Aliens screenings, you'll embark on a quest to discover the building blocks of life and explore potential habitats in the solar system and on distant exoplanets.
In addition to the regular screenings, the Planetarium also offers five special dates that combine engaging science education with a unique dance performance!
EXO:Aliens – Dance Meets Science
Dancers Zoé-Afan Strasser and Jaime Lee Rodney interpret the show's music in a unique way within the planetarium's dome, creating a special blend of art and science on five dates. As the starry sky stretches above the dome and distant worlds seem within reach, dance, music, and the cosmos merge into a truly unique experience. Between alien worlds, imaginary life forms, and the infinite expanse of space, fluid choreographies emerge that make the wonder of the unknown a physical experience.
Zoé-Afan Strasser is a Vienna-based dancer and choreographer with Ghanaian and Austrian roots, working in the fields of classical ballet, contemporary dance, and interdisciplinary performance. Jaime Lee Rodney is a Vienna-based performer, choreographer, and creative producer from Brooklyn, New York.
